Niam AB is a corporate sponsor of BRIS – Barnens Rätt i Samhället – a Swedish organisation which uses the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child as a guide to focus on children’s rights issues and improving living conditions for children. Niam strongly believes in the importance of supporting children’s well being and contributing to a safer environment for children in need.
Buy-aid & ECPAT
Niam purchases office supplies such as pencils, tape and Post-ITs from Buy-aid in support of ECPAT. ECPAT is a global network of organizations and individuals working together for the elimination of child prostitution, child pornography and the trafficking of children for sexual purposes.
Non-Smoking Generation
Niam is a corporate sponsor of Non-Smoking Generation, a campaign run by the Riksförbundet Hem och Skola. Riksförbundet Hem och Skola is an organisation with nationwide coverage that works in the interests of parents and children at the junior, middle and senior school levels. They work to ensure a high quality Swedish school system and make sure that any changes made to the system are to the children’s benefit. Their Non-Smoking Generation campaign started in January 2005 and focuses primarily on changing children’s attitudes towards using tobacco. Niam strongly believes that children are the key to a better and sustainable future and therefore supports the effort of creating a non-smoking generation.
