Niam is driven by an eagernness to do business and to invest in and develop real estate. Specifically, Niam targets assets involving active asset management, where Niam can, for example. reposition, re-tenant, redevelop and/or further develop the property.

Stockholm Waterfront 
Niam Fund III was one of the two primary owners of the new office, hotel and convention centre, which are being built near the City Hall next to the Central Station in Stockholm. The convention centre will add Stockholm to an exclusive group of world cities that can stage large meetings in the heart of the city. Niam has taken an active role in bringing this project through the planning, zoning and permit phases. The construction started in the fall of 2007, and the first tenants moved into the office building, called the Waterfront Building, in the beginning of March 2010.

The Waterfront Building will include all the facilities required to meet the highest international standards, including restaurants, shops, a gymnasium and modern security precautions. The convention centre and hotel will be completed in 2010. The convention centre hall will be able to host 3,000 people in cinema seating and have banqueting facilities for 2,000 guests. Rezidor Park Inn has signed a 20 year lease to operate the hotel and convention centre as part of its Park Inn chain. The new building will become the Rezidor Park Inn chain’s flagship hotel.
