What does a typical day at work look like?
I work as Business Developer, which in my case means that I work with the development projects of office properties that Niam has acquired. As the client in a new project, I have close collaboration with the external property manager and work, among other things, to put together teams in design and marketing. I am involved from start to finish in real estate projects and my job can involve everything from hiring interior designers to discussing the foundations of properties.
Right now, I am spending a lot of time at our office development projects in Värtahamnen, where I guide consultants and partners. I represent Niam towards all the companies we work with, so much of my job involves listening and understanding, conveying messages, and taking input from our partners. My job also involves selling a location/office to different target groups, packaging and making it clear to the customer. Understanding the customer’s needs and patterns is a big and important part of the job.
I have a broad mandate to achieve the final goal, which I appreciate. At Niam you will receive support from both colleagues and management, but how you get the job done is largely up to you. The demands are high, but you are never alone with your challenges.
What sets Niam apart from other companies is that it is a tight organization, which means that you have a lot of responsibility and a broad mandate to influence. At Niam, you know the goal, but the path there can be winding. Which is charming, developing, and sometimes frustrating.
I also want to highlight my colleagues - it is an honour to work with such a competent team where everyone is available to support each other through various challenges.
