Niam and Milton Huse join forces to establish a new joint venture aimed at developing, constructing, and operating terraced house projects in Denmark. The newly formed company, named Kronhusene, will take over Milton Huse's current B2B business, including approximately 30 employees.
Niam acquires Bright Sunday for pan-European roll-out of solar-as-a-service
Niam has through its infrastructure fund, Niam Infra Fund ("Niam Infra"), acquired the majority of Swedish-based Bright Sunday AB (“Bright Sunday”), a leading provider of solar-as-a-service for commercial and industrial customers. In connection with the acquisition, Niam Infra will invest additional capital to expedite the expansion of Bright Sunday across multiple European markets.
Niam to develop tallest office high rise in Finland
Niam has today entered into an agreement to acquire a development project called Kalasataman Horisontti from listed construction company SRV. The 11,700 sqm project will – once completed – include Finland’s tallest office tower spanning 109 meters over 26 floors.
Niam acquires Brunswick Real Estate’s debt business
Niam acquires Brunswick Real Estate Capital. The business, which has €2.5 billion (SEK 25 billion) in assets under management, will be led by CEO Pontus Sundin and will operate as an independent company under Niam Credit.
Niam improves GRESB sustainability score
During the past few years, Niam has been focused on establishing sustainability strategies and new working methods throughout the organisation – and that is giving results. In their recently published 2022 report, GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) awarded Niam a score of 86 out of a possible 100.
Niam acquires Kruthuset 17 in Gothenburg
Niam has acquired Kruthuset 17, a modern office- and logistic property close to the central station in Gothenburg. Kruthuset 17 consists of 68,000 sqm lettable area and has multiple tenants, the largest being PostNord, Trafikverket and CGI.
Niam's infrastructure fund targets 500 MW of Swedish solar together with Solkompaniet
Niam has, through its infrastructure fund Niam Infra Fund, entered into a framework agreement with Solkompaniet to develop large-scale solar parks in southern Sweden. The goal is to jointly develop and build solar parks of up to 500 MW, which corresponds to an investment of more than EUR 300 million.
Niam acquires retail park Solåsen Handel
Niam has acquired Solåsen Handel, a modern and well-functioning retail park located in an established micro location in Jönköping, Sweden. The retail park consists of three properties and ~36,000 sqm lettable area with 22 tenants. The seller is Genesta.
Johanna Strömsten Friberg joins Niam Infrastructure
Niam Infrastructure has hired Johanna Strömsten Friberg as Associate Director. Johanna has a solid track record with more than seven years of experience from energy, infrastructure and other real asset investments. Johanna joins from Alecta where she was Portfolio Manager for Real Assets.
Niam divests Kaari Shopping Centre in Helsinki for EUR 207 million
Niam has divested one of their shopping centre assets in Helsinki metropolitan area to Keva, Finland´s largest pension provider. Niam has been the owner of Kaari Shopping Center since 2015 and has done several successful value-added activities to increase the attractiveness to the center, both for visitors and tenants.
Niam and Stronghold invest in Proptivity to enable high-performance indoor 5G
Proptivity offers real estate owners and tenants high-performance 5G indoor networks. The networks are neutral meaning that all operators can join and that mobile users, regardless of operator, have access to high-performance 5G coverage indoors - what Proptivity calls Gigabit 5G.
Niam and Nima Energy partner to roll-out ultra-fast EV charging hubs
Niam has through its infrastructure fund, Niam Infra Fund (“Niam Infra”) partnered with Nima Energy AB for the roll-out of ultra-fast EV charging hubs. The partnership involves a 15% investment in Nima Energy AB as well as a first right to finance up to 500 MSEK of charging sites.
Niam strengthens its position in the Norwegian real estate market further
Niam has acquired a modern high quality office property in Nydalen, a well-established office cluster, just north of Oslo city center. The property comprises around 26,000 sqm and is strategically located close to the Nydalen metro station.
