Niam acquires office property in Gothenburg, Sweden
Niam, one of the largest private property owners in the Nordics, has acquired a 24,500 sqm office building in Gothenburg from Torslanda Property Investment AB (“TPI”), with closing on October 1, 2021. The property is a modern and flexible office building with a standalone parking garage. The office building was built in 2017 and is fully leased to Volvo Cars.
Kaari Shopping Center increases its offerings with new tenants
Kaari Shopping Center is, with its ~50,000 sqm, the sixth largest shopping center in Helsinki Metropolitan Area. With a combined area of ~5,000 sqm, the new tenants are retail company Tokmanni and JYSK as well as Gigantti (Elgiganten), the leading Nordic chain offering home electronics and appliances.
Niam acquires 782 rental homes in Denmark from Birch Ejendomme
Niam has acquired a portfolio of 782 turn-key residential units located in five growth cities on Jutland, Denmark. The portfolio comprises of 10 properties with 646 terraced houses and 136 apartments which are all being built by the well-known Danish developer Birch Ejendomme that previously delivered ~1,200 units of high quality to Niam, providing reassurance to the condition of the final turn-key projects. Once finalized, all properties will obtain a DGNB environmental certification.
The new residential area Näsby Park expands its offerings
The development of Näsby Park continues. The area is beautifully located next to the water in Täby, a suburb only 20 minutes from central Stockholm. Just over half of the homes have already been sold. The first owners moved here during spring of 2020 and soon it is time to welcome more neighbors to the new area. Behind the project is Niam, one of the largest private property owners in the Nordics.
Niam is further expanding its portfolio with a commuter hub in Stockholm
Niam has entered into a binding agreement with Grosvenor Europe for the purchase of Haninge Centrum, a local commuter hub, in direct connection to the bus and commuter train station only 30 minutes away from central Stockholm. The total lettable area is just over 43,000 sqm and the property includes 750 parking spaces.
Niam has entered into a binding agreement with Citycon for the purchase of a portfolio with three district centers totaling just over 57,000 square meters. The three centers are located in Tumba, Högdalen and Fruängen, all of which are suburbs of Stockholm, Sweden.
Niam develops properties of the future with an investment in open 5G technology
Niam and Netmore are initiating an extensive partnership that will begin with a pilot in Niam's properties in the new district of Värtahamnen, Stockholm and in selected properties in the other Nordic countries. Thereafter, the ambition is to roll out the open 5G technology in large parts of Niam's property portfolio in the Nordic region.
Niam has acquired an office building in Lysaker, ~10 minutes by car from central Oslo, Norway. The property is approximately 22,500 sqm and is fully let to Cisco Systems Norway AS with a remaining lease term of 3.5 years.
Niam divests mix-used property in Roskilde, Denmark
Niam has divested an office and retail property in Algade, central Roskilde, in the greater Copenhagen area. The ~10,000 sqm property was previously headquarters to former Roskilde Bank and is a prestigious mixed-use landmark property located on the best high-street location in Roskilde.
Niam acquires new residential development project from Peab
Niam has signed an agreement to acquire a rental residential project under construction for 84 apartments, including 66 parking spaces. The project is located in Botkyrka, 45 minutes from central Stockholm. The property is in an expansive micro area where 3,500 residential units will be developed by 2030.
